A woman, 33 years old, residing in Brest, France, with three children fathered by her own father, has been detained before trial for assaulting a public service official, as confirmed by authorities.
The mother, who herself suffered from long-term abuse, had been put under legal supervision just a month earlier, following the incarceration of her 58-year-old father. The father had been cohabiting with her in a ‘couple’ arrangement and is the biological father of her three children.
In the course of police inquiries, the man confessed to sexually exploiting his daughter, which included administering an antipsychotic drug to her. He also admitted to coercing his 11-year-old son into engaging in sexual activities with the mother, exposing him to pornographic material.
The disturbing revelations surfaced after the Finistère Departmental Council reported the incidents, triggering a police investigation. Testimonies from the children, an 11-year-old boy and his eight-year-old twin sisters, corroborated the accounts, disclosing a history of abuse in a tumultuous and aberrant household.
The children were taken into care by social services, with the boy receiving a 30-day incapacity leave and the girls eight days.
Following the arrest of her father on November 26, 2025, the mother was charged with habitual violence and corruption of a minor but was initially released under legal supervision. Nonetheless, she has a track record of violent behavior towards public officials, having reportedly assaulted a court clerk during a juvenile court session two years earlier.
Her recent assault on an officer led to her incarceration pending trial at Brest prison, where her father is also detained.
The father is facing charges of aggravated incestuous rape, corruption of a minor, and habitual violence against minors. Authorities have disclosed his admission to raping his daughter and coercing his son into sexual acts with her.
Both parents are currently considered innocent as investigations proceed, but the case has garnered significant attention due to the severity of the offenses and the maltreatment of multiple children within the same family.
“The investigations are ongoing, with the accused remaining innocent until proven guilty,” stated Stéphane Kellenberger, public prosecutor in Brest. Authorities are delving into the full extent of the abuse and the context in which it transpired.
