A man has chosen to remain with his wife even after she engaged in a sexual relationship with a teenage student. Instead of opting for divorce, the man, known as the “world’s most forgiving husband,” decided to move with his unfaithful wife to start afresh away from public scrutiny. The controversy arose when McKenna Kindred, a former teacher, was found to have been involved in a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student while her husband, Kyle, was away on a hunting trip.
Despite the scandal, McKenna managed to avoid prison time by reaching a plea deal in court. Surprisingly, Kyle decided to stay with McKenna, and the couple relocated to rebuild their lives. The victim’s parents have criticized McKenna for her predatory behavior towards their son.
The illicit encounters between McKenna and the student reportedly took place while Kyle was away between June and November 2022. The revelation surfaced when the teenager confided in his parents, leading to legal action.
During a court hearing in March 2024, the victim’s mother condemned McKenna’s actions as an abuse of power that has negatively impacted her son’s well-being and future career prospects. McKenna tearfully expressed remorse and apologized to the student and his family, admitting her deep shame for her misconduct. Eventually, she pleaded guilty to revised charges related to sexual misconduct with a minor.
Following the court proceedings, McKenna received a two-year probation sentence and was required to pay a fine of £700. Moreover, the judge mandated her to register as a sex offender for the next decade.
Despite the scandal, Kyle decided to support his wife and the couple relocated to Idaho, as indicated by property records. They purchased a home in Boise for around $500,000 (£373,000) and formally announced their move shortly after McKenna’s legal case concluded without imprisonment.
While details about McKenna’s professional status remain undisclosed, she voluntarily surrendered her teaching license following an investigation by Idaho’s standards board. On the other hand, Kyle is currently employed as a property solicitor at a local firm called Holland and Hart.
Kyle’s role at the firm involves providing legal expertise in real estate transactions, including due diligence, compliance, and research, according to Kindred’s website. He is described as an associate offering comprehensive legal advice to clients in need.
