Love Takes Flight: A Sky-High Romance at 30,000 Feet

Date:

In June 2001, Alexis Milford-White, a flight attendant, embarked on a routine flight to the Canary Islands with TUI. Little did she expect to meet her future husband, Stuart, at 30,000 feet. Stuart’s act of kindness during the flight initiated their relationship. Despite facing a challenging illness early on, Stuart’s unwavering support proved the strength of their love.

Their initial encounter on a Boeing 757 flight led to a blossoming connection. Stuart’s initiative in asking for Alexis’ phone number kickstarted their communication, even while he was away on holiday. Despite living in different cities, they managed to meet regularly, fostering their relationship.

When Alexis fell ill with a spinal bacterial infection just two months into their relationship, Stuart’s dedication shone through as he stood by her side throughout her recovery. Their bond only grew stronger, leading them to move in together and eventually tie the knot at Disney in Florida in 2004.

Now, back working for TUI, Alexis cherishes the time she spends traveling with Stuart. Reflecting on their journey, she acknowledges the impact of that fateful flight that brought them together. Despite the challenges they’ve faced, their enduring love story continues to inspire them.

As they approach their 25th Valentine’s Day together, Alexis and Stuart remain grateful for the unexpected love that found them in the skies.
