“Late Goal by Golen Secures 2-2 Draw for Ottawa Rapid”

In an intense matchup on Sunday at TD Place, Nicola Golen’s goal in the 92nd minute secured a crucial 2-2 draw for Ottawa Rapid against AFC Toronto. Golen’s equalizer came in extra time, adding a valuable point to the Rapid’s top-ranking record. Melanie Forbes also contributed a goal for Ottawa in the 13th minute.

For third-place Toronto, Sarah Stratigakis and Shelina Zadorsky found the back of the net. The game took a turn in the 63rd minute when both teams were reduced to 10 players following red cards shown to Choo Hyojoo of the Rapid and Cloey Uddenberg of AFC Toronto.

Additionally, it was announced earlier in the day that TD Place in Ottawa will host the upcoming Northern Super League final on Nov. 14.
