The future of Freeview appears uncertain as more households are transitioning to streaming services, potentially leading to millions abandoning traditional aerial setups. Adding to the challenge, a new competitor has emerged in the market, offering an expanded range of viewing options.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer, powered by Freely, allows users to access live content online rather than through conventional aerial signals. The device gained significant consumer interest upon its recent release, quickly selling out in stores. Manhattan has now restocked the Aero to meet the high demand it has experienced.
In a new development, the Aero will now feature HBO Max, consolidating content from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., DC, and more within a single application. Popular shows like The Last of Us, House of the Dragon, Succession, and The White Lotus, as well as movie franchises like Harry Potter and Batman, will be available for viewers.
While HBO Max enhances the Aero’s entertainment offerings, access to the service requires a separate subscription starting from £4.99 per month. For those seeking free content, the Aero still provides access to over 50 live TV channels, on-demand programming, voice search, personalized recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and live TV pause functionality.
Manhattan’s COO, Alex Arbab-Zadeh, expressed confidence in meeting demand for the Aero and highlighted the addition of HBO Max as a significant enhancement to the product. The company plans to introduce more apps throughout the year to further enrich the Aero user experience.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely is currently available for £89.99 at various retailers, including Currys, Argos, and John Lewis.
