“Four Lucky Investors Win £100,000 Premium Bonds Prizes”

Date:

Four fortunate Premium Bonds investors have secured £100,000 prizes by acquiring their winning bonds solely in December. These bonds qualified for the February 2026 draw and beyond, requiring a full month of ownership for inclusion. Among the winners is an individual who purchased a £50 bond in December 2025.

Residing in Essex, one winner possesses a total of £19,150 in Premium Bonds. Another winner from Brighton and Hove holds £38,025 in Premium Bonds, with their winning bond valued at £13,000. The remaining two winners each have £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with one living in Cheshire and the other in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

In each month, two £1 million Premium Bond prizes are distributed. Notably, one of the significant winners in the February 2026 draw resides in Liverpool, while the other is based in Central Bedfordshire.

Premium Bonds, a savings product by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), operate differently from traditional interest-bearing accounts by offering monthly prize draws. Prizes range from £25 to £1 million, with higher odds of winning smaller prizes compared to the larger sums. Participants can hold a maximum of £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with each £1 investment assigned a unique bond number.

The chance of a bond winning monthly stands at 22,000 to 1 for every £1 bond. Winners are notified through email or text message by NS&I, allowing them to opt for bank transfers or reinvestment in Premium Bonds. To check for winnings, individuals can utilize the NS&I online prize checker or the Premium Bonds prize checker app.

Currently, the prize fund rate, akin to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, stands at 3.60% since the August 2025 draw. Recent data shared with This is Money unveiled the luckiest areas for winning Premium Bond prizes, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight leading the way in 2025. Essex, Outer London, Norwich, and Cumbria also saw significant prize wins in the past year.
