The impending downfall of the authoritarian regime in Iran is a question not just of when but of how it will happen. The regime’s own failures are leading to its collapse, fueling the Iranian people’s ongoing struggle for freedom. We call on the global community to show solidarity by supporting opposition movements, denouncing human rights abuses, and acknowledging the rights of Iran’s minorities. These actions are crucial in paving the way for a new, democratic Iran.
Iran’s future holds significant importance on a global scale. Despite its historical isolation caused by the regime’s actions, Iran’s rich cultural heritage, abundant energy resources, and strategic geographical location can positively impact many nations worldwide. The once powerful but now deteriorating Islamic Republic of Iran has long been a symbol of oppressive ideological dominance and aggressive regional pursuits. The regime’s loss of credibility internally and externally is becoming increasingly evident across its various institutions.
The end of the oppressive regime in Iran is drawing near. We seek support from the West to hasten its ultimate collapse. It is imperative for the international community to provide both moral and practical assistance to ensure that the Iranian people’s fight for liberty does not go in vain.
As a patriot of my country, I emphasize the significant role of the Kurdish community within Iran. The 2021 uprising, sparked by the tragic death of a Kurdish girl due to a dress code violation, highlighted the Kurds’ influence and unity in the nationwide movement for change.
The regime’s corrupt ambitions have not only drained the nation’s resources but have also alienated a large portion of the population. Recent surveys indicate that over 80% of Iranians residing in the country express dissatisfaction with the current regime and demand transformative change.
Such widespread discontent spells doom for the regime, rendering it incapable of regaining its former dominance. International support is now more critical than ever in bolstering internal resistance movements and paving the way for democratic reforms. Advocates, including my party, endorse a democratic, federal, and secular governance model. With Western assistance, progress towards this vision can be accelerated.
