A British tourist has disappeared while overseas, far from home, after being last sighted on Christmas Day through a video call.
Mark Counsell, aged 31, hailing from Pontypool, South Wales, is suspected to be in Thailand or the Kuala Lumpur region in Malaysia. He had been journeying through Southeast Asia and was last observed by his family during a video call on the morning of December 25. His disappearance has been reported, and Gwent Police are actively searching for his whereabouts.
According to a spokesperson for the police department, “We are seeking information to locate Mark Counsell, 31, who has been reported missing. Mark was last seen on Thursday, December 25, during a video call, as he has been exploring Thailand recently.”
Mark is identified as a Caucasian male, standing at 5 feet 9 inches tall, with an average build. He was last seen donning a khaki Fred Perry T-shirt.
