In response to the fatal shooting by a federal agent of the American citizen, Donald Trump made a controversial statement, as reported by the Express US.
The individuals involved in the finger-biting incident have not been identified. The exact cause of the incident, beyond the earlier deadly shooting, remains uncertain, though signs of civil unrest are evident in the city.
Earlier on the same day, an American citizen and ICU nurse, Alex Jeffrey Pretti, aged 37, was fatally shot by a federal agent. Though armed, he possessed a valid firearm license.
Homeland Security released a statement alleging that Pretti resisted violently when authorities tried to disarm him, revealing he carried a 9mm semi-automatic handgun and two magazines.
However, a video clip captured a woman shouting about police brutality, claiming that an observer was being mistreated and kicked in the face.
The Department of Homeland Security stated that Pretti was armed, while details surrounding the shooting remain unclear.
Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota contacted the White House regarding another tragic shooting by federal agents and urged President Donald Trump to withdraw the numerous aggressive and untrained officers from Minnesota. This plea follows the killing of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three, by an ICE agent in Minneapolis on January 7, leading to nationwide protests.
