Cheshire Police are currently searching for a man who escaped from prison while serving a 23-year sentence for attempted murder in Dorset in 2016. Kieran Cameron, who was incarcerated at HMP Thorn Cross in Warrington, absconded from the facility. Authorities are urging the public to assist in locating Cameron and have advised against approaching him directly but to contact emergency services.
Cameron, along with another individual named Michael O’Rourke, committed a violent attack on a 22-year-old man from Poole, inflicting multiple stab wounds. The incident, stemming from a feud with a rival gang, resulted in the victim sustaining serious injuries. Following the court proceedings, Detective Sergeant Jamie Halford emphasized the severity of knife-related crimes and stressed the importance of swift justice in such cases.
Described as a white male with specific physical features, Cameron has connections to Manchester, Liverpool, and Dorset. Detective Chief Inspector Nick Henderson from Cheshire Police has requested the public’s assistance in locating him, emphasizing the need to report any sightings promptly to the authorities. The Police Service has highlighted the gravity of Cameron’s escape and encouraged individuals with relevant information to come forward and aid in his recapture.
