A young girl was swiftly taken to the hospital after reportedly falling from an ambulance on a bustling motorway. The incident occurred on the M6 southbound at junction 32 connecting to the M55 during the evening hours of Tuesday. Fortunately, the girl’s injuries are believed to be minor, according to initial reports.

Lancashire Police responded to the scene of a road traffic collision, causing the motorway’s closure for assessment. Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes to avoid the area until the situation was resolved. The incident was first reported at 5:17 pm, and normal traffic flow resumed around 7 pm, as confirmed by Lancs Live.

In an updated statement, Lancashire Police stated that the teenage girl fell from the ambulance onto the M6 southbound to M55 slip road but was not seriously harmed. The road closure was temporary, allowing for a swift reopening of all lanes.

Meanwhile, tragedy struck as a woman in her sixties lost her life in a layby crash, leading to the arrest of a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The fatal collision, involving a grey Porsche Cayenne, a red Fiat 500, and a white Volvo Tipper lorry, occurred around 8:50 am on Monday between Hertford and Broxbourne.

The woman from the Fiat, who was outside her vehicle during the accident, succumbed to her injuries at the scene despite emergency responders’ efforts. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances of the crash and urge witnesses or those with relevant information to come forward to aid the investigation.

The Porsche driver, a man in his sixties, was apprehended on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death and has been released on bail pending further inquiries. Witnesses are encouraged to reach out to DC Lewis Stanley with any details related to the incident, quoting the specific case reference. Dashcam footage from drivers in the vicinity at the time is particularly valuable for the ongoing investigation.

To provide information, witnesses can contact the authorities via email, online reporting, the Force Communications Room web chat, or by calling the non-emergency number. Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crimestoppers, while dashcam footage can be uploaded for review by Hertfordshire Constabulary.
