The incident occurred on the M6 southbound at junction 32 connecting to the M55 during the evening hours of Tuesday. Meanwhile, tragedy struck as a woman in her sixties lost her life in a layby crash, leading to the arrest of a man on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The fatal collision, involving a grey Porsche Cayenne, a red Fiat 500, and a white Volvo Tipper lorry, occurred around 8:50 am on Monday between Hertford and Broxbourne.
The woman from the Fiat, who was outside her vehicle during the accident, succumbed to her injuries at the scene despite emergency responders’ efforts. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances of the crash and urge witnesses or those with relevant information to come forward to aid the investigation.
The Porsche driver, a man in his sixties, was apprehended on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
