Some Sky customers have been facing a frustrating glitch with the ITVX app. The issue, which began last week, causes the app to skip to the end of programs unexpectedly. Users have reported being taken to the end of a show without manually fast-forwarding through the content.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned the problem, stating that ITV Player keeps skipping to the end of episodes without warning. Another user, Dawn, also shared a similar experience of programs jumping to the end randomly, often at the start or after an ad break.
The glitch seems to be affecting users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s unclear if Sky Q users are also experiencing the issue, most complaints are from those using broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.
Sky employee Kev acknowledged the problem online, mentioning that the company is aware of the issue and is collaborating with ITV to resolve it. Kev assured users that the support teams are working on a fix and will provide updates as soon as more information is available.
