“Sky TV Merges Cinema Channels for Movie Marathon Fans”

Date:

Sky TV customers who enjoy movie marathons will notice a significant change in the TV planner starting April 30. The telecoms and TV company has announced a revamp of its Cinema channel lineup by merging two existing services into one.

Sky Cinema Animation, previously on channel 312, has now been integrated into Sky Cinema Family. This move aims to simplify things by consolidating all family-friendly films in one place on channel 304.

Importantly, no content is being removed; it is simply being combined. Viewers can still enjoy popular titles like Shrek, The Secret Life of Pets, Smurfs, How to Train Your Dragon, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Wicked, all under the same channel instead of two separate ones.

While there will be one less channel, Sky assures customers that all content previously available on Sky Cinema Animation will still be accessible through Sky Cinema Family.

For fans of films on Sky Cinema Animation, there is good news. Sky has confirmed that the channel will not disappear entirely but will return temporarily during school holidays: July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5. This means that kids will have the channel back to keep them entertained when they are not in school.
