A smartwatch priced significantly lower than Apple’s leading model and an everyday supermarket condiment have been recognized as standout products of 2025.
Consumer advocacy group Which? conducted extensive testing on over 2,000 items to determine their quality and value. Their list of the top 50 products for the year includes items that excelled in various aspects. Some were deemed the best in their category, others displayed innovative features, and some offered exceptional value for money.
Topping the list is the budget-friendly Amazfit Bip 6 smartwatch, priced at under £63 in certain locations. Despite being a fraction of the cost of Apple’s entry-level model, it boasts comparable quality. Which? lauded its exercise tracking, GPS functionality, and awarded it five stars for user-friendliness and display quality. The smartwatch was described as a game-changer for providing high quality at an affordable price.
Ranking third is Asda’s Classic Tomato Ketchup, commended for its rich tomato flavor with a balanced sweetness that avoids artificial taste. It rivaled the taste of the popular Heinz ketchup but is approximately 70% cheaper per 100g.
Just ahead of the ketchup in second place is Skoda’s Elroq electric car, the priciest item in the top 50 at over £30,000. Which? praised the SUV for its cost-effectiveness and premium feel, stating that it outshines many competitors in terms of value and performance.
Another cost-effective product that made the top 10 is Aldi’s Magnum Premium Washing Up Liquid, securing the 10th spot. Priced at 95p for a 500ml bottle, it scored 73% overall, edging out the popular Fairy Original with 72%.
The rest of the top 50 features a diverse range of products, from household appliances and cutting-edge technology to home essentials like duvets, strollers, and tools.
Harry Rose, the editor of Which? Magazine, highlighted the focus on products that enhance home life in 2025. The top products cater to the growing demand for quality, convenience, and enjoyment, whether it’s a TV for movie nights, a turntable for music lovers, or a pizza oven for gourmet home cooking.
