Three tourists were fatally shot near their rental home in Florida in what authorities suspect was a random attack. The victims, identified as brothers Robert Kraft, 70, from Michigan, and Douglas Joseph Kraft, 68, from Ohio, along with their friend James John Puchan, 68, also from Ohio, were left stranded after their vehicle broke down close to Disney World in Kissimmee, Florida.
Law enforcement responded to reports of a shooting in the Indian Point Circle neighborhood around 12:14 pm on Saturday, where they discovered the three men deceased in a yard with gunshot wounds. The suspect, Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, 29, was apprehended at his residence approximately an hour after the incident. Kissimmee, known for its proximity to Walt Disney World Resort and rental accommodations, was the location of the tragic event.
Sheriff Christopher Blackmon described the killings as cold-blooded and premeditated, indicating that there was no prior conflict between the victims and the suspect. Bojeh was taken into custody without posing a further threat to the community. Guns were found at the suspect’s residence, prompting forensic examinations to determine if they were used in the crime.
The victims had to extend their stay at the rental property due to car troubles, with another person who had been accompanying them departing the day before. Details regarding the tourists’ activities in the area and the duration of their stay remain unclear. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest of Bojeh and his booking on three counts of murder following the tragic incident.
