“Son of Notorious Gang Founder Shot in Germany”

Date:

The offspring of the founder of a notorious gang involved in a violent conflict that critically injured a young girl has been the victim of a shooting incident. Cagdas Baybasin, son of the infamous Turkish criminal Abdullah Baybasin, was shot multiple times in Düsseldorf, Germany. Abdullah established the Hackney Bombers gang, which has been embroiled in a deadly feud with the Tottenham Turks resulting in several fatalities.

Abdullah was sentenced to 22 years in a London prison in 2006 for heroin distribution and later deported. Recently, a key member of the Bombers was targeted in a shooting in North East London, leaving a child with a gunshot wound in the head. Subsequently, a threatening message allegedly posted by Cagdas’ uncle Huseyin, known as “Europe’s Pablo Escobar,” vowed retaliation against those responsible for the attack.

Reports suggest that the violence in Germany may not be directly related to previous incidents in the UK and anticipate potential reprisals in Spain. Abdullah, who is wheelchair-bound, was spotted in Barcelona with Tekin Kartal, a German-Turkish drug lord who was later assassinated. Despite denial from the Baybasin clan, suspicions arise regarding their involvement in the recent shooting.

Cagdas was shot while traveling in a taxi, targeted by two assailants at a traffic light, resulting in significant damage to the vehicle. Earlier that day, Cagdas participated in a protest outside the Dutch Consulate in Düsseldorf, advocating for the release of his incarcerated uncle Huseyin. In a legal development, Huseyin’s request for a temporary identity document was denied by a Dutch court, pending a decision on his potential release.

Abdullah Baybasin addressed the attack on his son in a video shared on TikTok, assuring that Cagdas was safe and expressing gratitude for his survival. The Hackney Bombers faced another setback when Erdal Ozmen, a senior member, was fatally shot in North East London, suspected to be a retaliatory act. The ongoing conflict between the Tottenham Turks and the Hackney Bombers has resulted in a series of violent incidents, including targeted killings.

Investigations into Ozmen’s murder remain inconclusive, with no arrests made. Ozmen, previously convicted for various criminal offenses, was associated with the Hackney Bombers’ illicit activities within the Turkish Kurdish community in North London. The gang was known for extortion, collecting protection money, and possessing illegal weapons, as revealed during court proceedings.
