Sky TV subscribers are in for a pleasant surprise with a recent announcement of a complimentary upgrade to include Disney+ in their existing packages. The enhancement, part of the new Sky Ultimate plan, grants access to a plethora of content from Pixar, Star Wars, Disney, and Marvel at no extra cost.
The upgraded package doesn’t end there. In addition to Disney+, Sky is set to introduce HBO Max Basic soon and Hayu later this year. The integration of Disney+ across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms ensures a seamless viewing experience with features like Continue Watching, search options, and voice control.
Moreover, Sky Cinema subscribers will enjoy a dedicated Disney+ Cinema channel as part of the enhanced offerings. For non-Sky customers, the new Sky Ultimate package is now available for all UK households starting at £24 per month.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching on March 26 in the UK & Ireland), full access to Hayu from July, and over 130 Sky channels. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the update, emphasizing the consolidation of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription to enhance the viewer experience.
Existing customers will benefit from the expanded lineup at no additional cost, with NOW Entertainment users receiving HBO Max within the app without extra charges. Sky’s initiative aims to simplify streaming services and provide a more cohesive viewing experience for its audience.
