“Sky Mobile Announces Monthly Bill Increase for Millions”

Date:

Millions of Sky Mobile users are set to experience an increase in their monthly bills starting next month following a recent announcement. The majority of customers will witness a £1.50 per month hike, translating to an annual increment of £18, although some may face different adjustments.

The revised pricing will take effect from February 14, 2026, marking the first price alteration for Sky Mobile’s in-contract subscribers in over seven years. Customers disheartened by the rise and within the contractual minimum term can opt to terminate their package without incurring any early termination fees.

However, the cost of Sky Mobile’s social tariff, catering to individuals with lower incomes, will remain unchanged. The price adjustment was attributed to escalating wholesale network expenses, with affected customers being notified starting today.

A spokesperson from Sky Mobile stated, “To sustain the quality, service, and value our customers deserve, the majority of Sky Mobile users will encounter a £1.50 escalation in their monthly fees starting February. This decision, influenced by industry-wide cost pressures, allows us to uphold our network investments and enhance customer experience.”

In a similar vein, O2 disclosed that nearly all mobile and SIM-only contract clients will witness a £2.50 monthly increment from April 2026, exceeding the initially planned rise of £1.80. Additionally, Three mobile subscribers opting for data plans of 4GB or less after November 9 will face a £1.80 monthly surge from April, an 80p increment from the current £1 raise.

Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will experience a £1.90 monthly upsurge in April 2026, while those with over 100GB will endure a £2.30 increase monthly. Three broadband users can anticipate a £3.50 monthly escalation from April 2026.

Furthermore, Vodafone mobile customers engaging in new deals from November 12 will witness a £2.50 monthly uptick, or £1.50 for Basics SIM plans. Vodafone broadband consumers, on the other hand, will face a £3.50 monthly price rise. Existing customers with contracts from Vodafone or Three will be subject to the agreed-upon price adjustments.
