Swiss officials are actively seeking multiple individuals who have been reported missing following a tragic fire on New Year’s Eve that claimed the lives of many people. The fire at Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana resulted in approximately 40 fatalities and over 100 injuries. Witnesses observed staff carrying champagne and flares into the bar just before the blaze erupted, prompting survivors to break windows in their frantic attempts to escape.
Among the missing are seven individuals, including four teenagers whose families are anxiously awaiting any information about their whereabouts. One of the teenagers, 16-year-old Arthur Brodard, was part of a group celebrating the new year at the bar. His mother, Laetitia, expressed her distress over not hearing from him despite extensive searches at local hospitals.
Additionally, siblings Alicia and Diana Gonset, aged 15 and 14, have been reported missing by their family. Alice, a 15-year-old from Greece and a Swiss resident, has also been reported missing by her brother. The search continues for Emilie, a 22-year-old French national who was in Crans-Montana with friends. Her grandfather has made a public appeal for any information regarding her whereabouts, mentioning distinctive tattoos she has.
Carla Masielli, mother of 16-year-old Giovanni from Italy, is desperately seeking information about her son, who was in Crans-Montana on holiday with his father. Furthermore, an urgent search is ongoing for Stiven, whose age is undisclosed, with family and friends providing details about his last known appearance before the fire.
Efforts to locate the missing individuals are ongoing as families and authorities work tirelessly to gather any information that may lead to their discovery.
