“Samsung Unveils Galaxy S26 with Privacy Display”

Date:

Samsung has recently unveiled a trio of new Galaxy S26 smartphones, with one standout feature that sets it apart from competitors like the iPhone. The Galaxy S26 Ultra now boasts a Privacy Display, offering enhanced privacy by making the screen content invisible to others when not viewed directly.

This innovative feature, once enabled in the settings, ensures that onlookers cannot see the screen content unless they are directly facing it. This means that individuals around you, such as on public transportation, cannot read your messages or sneak a peek at your activities. The Privacy Display can also be customized to block specific apps or notifications for added privacy.

Samsung described the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display as a groundbreaking advancement in display technology within the mobile industry. By controlling pixel light dispersion, the screen maintains clarity and brightness for the user while limiting visibility to others.

In addition to the Privacy Display, the Galaxy S26 Ultra offers a sleeker design, extended battery life, and is now equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform from Qualcomm. It also features rapid charging capabilities, allowing for a 75% charge in just 30 minutes.

The smartphone includes an updated quad rear camera that excels in night photography and enhanced video recording with improved Super Steady capabilities, including a horizontal lock option for smoother video capture. Like its predecessors, the Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with an S Pen for convenient note-taking on the 6.9-inch AMOLED display.

Joining the Ultra model are the standard S26 with a 6.3-inch screen and the larger 6.7-inch Plus version. These models are powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip and feature triple-lens rear cameras for enhanced photography.

Samsung has integrated a Galaxy AI upgrade across its new smartphone lineup, enhancing smart features such as the Now Nudge function. This feature provides users with relevant suggestions to maintain focus and productivity without distractions, like automatically suggesting photos from the Gallery when prompted by a friend.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S26 offers improved functionality for tasks like recognizing Calendar entries related to received messages and facilitating web searches through Google Gemini for a more intuitive browsing experience.

While these updates bring added value to Samsung’s smartphones, they also come with a price increase this year. The UK pricing for the new Samsung Galaxy S26 range is as follows:

– S26: 256GB £879, 512GB £1,049
– S26 Plus: 256GB £1,099, 512GB £1,269
– S26 Ultra: 256GB £1,279, 512GB £1,449, 1TB (with 16GB RAM) £1,699

All models are set to be available in stores starting next month.
