“Reality TV Star Arrested for Hotel Bill Fiasco”

Date:

A woman who previously had a romantic relationship with Prince Harry was recently arrested in Majorca for allegedly leaving a hotel without settling a bill amounting to nearly £450. Catherine Ommanney, a 53-year-old reality TV personality, was apprehended on suspicion of fraud after the hotel manager reported the incident to the authorities. The hotel in question, Playas del Rey Hotel in Santa Ponsa near Magaluf, claimed she had not paid a bill exceeding €500 (£434) for a nine-day stay.

Following the report, Catherine was taken into custody by the police and later appeared before a judge in Palma, the capital of Majorca. She was subsequently released on bail pending further investigation. Reports suggest that Catherine had booked her hotel stay using a card that reportedly had insufficient funds.

Details surrounding her court appearance remain unclear, with no information on whether she provided an explanation for the incident. Despite her release, Catherine made no public comments regarding the matter. She had previously disclosed details of her past relationship with Prince Harry in 2006, emphasizing their compatibility and mutual respect. Catherine asserted that their connection was based on deeper conversations and shared experiences compared to Harry’s interactions with younger individuals.

The hotel management confirmed the unpaid bill, indicating that Catherine had stayed at the Playas del Rey Hotel for nine days, accumulating a total charge of approximately 550 Euros (£475). Furthermore, it was revealed that Catherine had used an alternative surname due to a former marriage during her arrest and court proceedings.

In response to the allegations, Catherine denied any wrongdoing, stating that the bill had been settled in full and attributing the situation to a technical error on the part of the hotel. She expressed intentions to seek redress through legal means. Despite attempts to contact the hotel for comments, no official statements have been provided regarding the resolution of the issue or the status of the investigation.
