A tragic incident unfolded as a newly married woman survived a motorway crash but suffered fatal injuries when a lorry collided with her while she was exiting the overturned vehicle. Samara Prado Martins, 24, and her husband Thiago Oliveira Martins were involved in the accident in Ponta Grossa, Parana, Brazil, just a month after their wedding. Following the car rollover on the BR-376 motorway, they managed to escape their vehicle but were struck by the oncoming truck. Sadly, Samara lost her life at the crash site, while Thiago was airlifted to a hospital in Ponta Grossa in critical condition. The couple, returning from the beach, were alone in their car during the incident, prompting a response from Samara’s family members who were traveling separately. The lorry driver emerged unharmed, and investigations into the circumstances of the initial collision are ongoing. Samara’s body will be laid to rest in Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul, with friends and well-wishers offering condolences and support to her grieving family.
