Motorola is stepping up its game to challenge Samsung’s dominance in global Android sales with the launch of the impressive Motorola Edge 70 Max. This new smartphone boasts standout features that set it apart from Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy phones, including a massive battery capacity and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
Inside the Motorola Edge 70 Max lies a substantial 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed to provide extended usage for activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing without the need for frequent recharging. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries in Samsung devices, the silicon-carbon technology in the Edge 70 Max offers higher energy density without adding bulk or weight to the phone.
When it comes time to recharge, Motorola has equipped the Edge 70 Max with 90W TurboPower charging, allowing for rapid replenishment of the battery. Motorola claims that just six minutes of charging can provide enough power to last a full day, surpassing Samsung’s current maximum of 60W wired charging.
The exceptional battery performance of the Motorola Edge 70 Max has earned it the prestigious Gold Label for battery life and charging from DXOMARK, a respected industry expert.
Beyond its power features, the Motorola Edge 70 Max boasts a range of flagship specifications. It features a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, ensuring seamless performance for demanding tasks and AI functionalities. The phone also incorporates a large vapor chamber cooling system to regulate temperatures during intensive use.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the AI-powered camera system on the Edge 70 Max, highlighted by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.
Additional highlights of the device include an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, emphasized the phone’s blend of aesthetics, performance, and functionality, stating that the Edge 70 Max delivers a premium entertainment experience without compromise.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is now available for purchase in the UK, priced at £699.99.
