“Marks and Spencer Tops UK Brand Rankings Again”

Date:

The latest rankings have identified Marks and Spencer as the leading brand in the UK. Despite facing a cyber attack in 2025 that disrupted online shopping for months, M&S secured the top position in the YouGov BrandIndex tool, which evaluates factors like impression, quality, value, and satisfaction over the past year. Following closely behind in the top five are IKEA, Samsung, John Lewis, and Netflix.

In a surprising turn, Post Office emerged as the most improved brand, driven by increased satisfaction and a positive shift in public perception following the Horizon IT scandal. Royal Mail and Fujitsu secured the second and third spots for most improved brands.

WhatsApp claimed the top spot in global brand rankings, with strong performance in countries like India and Indonesia. It was trailed by Samsung, YouTube, and Google.

YouGov’s CEO and Co-founder, Stephan Shakespeare, emphasized the importance of strong brands that establish lasting connections with consumers. He praised the recognized brands for their enduring consumer appeal.

Stuart Machin, CEO of M&S, expressed gratitude for being named the UK’s Best Brand for the fourth consecutive year, attributing the success to customer feedback. He acknowledged the hard work of colleagues and emphasized the team’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Looking ahead, Machin highlighted the team’s drive to capitalize on future opportunities and strive for excellence.
