A new magical theme park section inspired by the beloved Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling has been officially announced. Fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a wizarding experience with specially themed overnight accommodations.
The collaboration between Merlin Entertainments and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences will bring the popular Harry Potter franchise to life in LEGO form at LEGOLAND Deutschland in Germany. While specific details of this exciting new attraction are currently being kept confidential, the park has assured that more information will be revealed within the next year.
Peter van Roden, EVP of Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, expressed enthusiasm about providing Harry Potter fans worldwide with a new way to engage with the iconic films. He mentioned that the new destination will allow fans to physically experience the wizarding world in the familiar LEGO Harry Potter style they have cherished for years.
Since the release of the first Harry Potter book in 1997, the franchise has expanded significantly, including eight Harry Potter films, three Fantastic Beasts movies, a stage production, and a video game. While existing Harry Potter-themed attractions can be found at some Universal resorts and the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, this will be the first Wizarding World experience for LEGO enthusiasts.
As anticipation builds for the upcoming HBO series scheduled to debut in 2027, fans can look forward to a production spanning ten years and multiple seasons, each based on one of J.K. Rowling’s books. The association between Harry Potter and LEGO has a long history, with various themed brick sets released over the years, including the iconic Hogwarts set with over 6,000 pieces.
Situated in Günzburg, just over an hour away from Munich Airport, Germany’s LEGOLAND park is easily accessible for British fans with short flight options from airlines like British Airways, easyJet, and Lufthansa. The park offers a range of kid-friendly attractions, such as LEGO NINJAGO World, MINILAND showcasing models of famous global landmarks, Knights’ Kingdom, and LEGO® X-TREME featuring thrilling rides like rollercoasters.
The new Harry Potter land will add to the diverse array of family-friendly activities available at the park, providing visitors with an enchanting experience in the world of LEGO and Harry Potter.
