Following the tragic incident, Joshua, along with his companions, was involved in a collision with a stationary truck while traveling in Nigeria. In a show of solidarity and respect, Jake Paul and MVP CEO Nakisa Bidarian have ensured that Ayodele and Ghami are remembered and honored before the significant boxing event scheduled for Saturday night in Puerto Rico.

While Joshua has been discharged from the hospital and returned home to the United Kingdom to prepare for his friends’ funeral, there remains uncertainty regarding his attendance at the ceremony due to concerns of creating a spectacle. Additionally, it has been revealed that Joshua narrowly escaped the tragic fate of his friends by switching seats just before the fatal journey, leading to the driver of the vehicle, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, being charged with causing death by dangerous driving. Kayode’s case is set for trial on January 20.
