“Anthony Joshua Crash: Driver Appears in Court”

A driver involved in a tragic car crash with Anthony Joshua’s team members, resulting in fatalities, has made a court appearance in Nigeria. The accident occurred near Lagos on December 29, claiming the lives of Joshua’s personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami. The driver, identified as Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, faced charges of dangerous driving and negligence.

Kayode, 46, appeared in Sagamu Magistrates Court in Ogun state near Lagos, with his case adjourned to March 13. He was previously released on bail and is also accused of driving without care and a valid license. Prosecutors requested more time to gather evidence for the case.

Joshua, who survived the crash, was discharged from the hospital on New Year’s Eve and is undergoing rehabilitation in the UK. He expressed gratitude for the support received during the challenging time, mourning the loss of his friends and emphasizing their significant impact on his life.

The heavyweight boxer is determined to honor his friends’ legacy, stating that measures are in place to fulfill their dreams. Joshua remains resolute in his efforts to continue their shared journey despite the tragic loss.
