The rumoured secret to Kate Middleton’s shiny hair is this ultra-hydrating on-sale shampoo

Published:

If there’s anyone we can trust when it comes to haircare, it’s the Princess of Wales. Kate Middleton’s hair always looks shiny and healthy, and luckily for us, the exact shampoo that’s the secret her glossy locks is currently on sale.

Kérastase’s Nutritive Bain Satin Riche High Nutrition Rich Shampoo is on offer for under £20 on Amazon. Originally priced at £25, the shampoo is now 26% off, bringing the price down to £18.77. This hydrating shampoo features Kérastase’s signature Irisome Complex, which helps nourish, cleanse, and reduce the appearance of damage on the hair while also protecting against dryness.

The results? Healthier, silkier and softer-looking locks. And it’s this specific shampoo that is the long-rumoured product behind Kate’s forever shiny hair.

The Princess of Wales is not the only fan of this shampoo, with the haircare product having garnered hundreds of five-star reviews from shoppers.

One customer praised the shampoo’s value for money writing: “Great shampoo for mildly dry hair. One of the few that doesn’t irritate my scalp and leaves the hair soft and clean. Use with matching conditioner for superb finish (I know this sounds like a paint review !!). Good value for money as you need only a little shampoo.”

With a second adding: “I have highlighted hair and it’s naturally thick and quite coarse so this shampoo is the best quality shampoo for me, I’ve tried other expensive brands but I would recommend this, I also use the mask as well as this helps my hair look great, doesn’t strip my toner either.”

A nourishing and hydrating shampoo that reduces the appearance of damaged-looking hair, and leaves shinier, softer locks.

Great for coloured/bleached hair; leaves hair visibly softer and shinier; doesn’t irritate the scalp; and good value for money as you only need to use a small amount

Contains silicones and sulphates that can strip the hair of its natural oils

However, a few criticisms come from the fact that the shampoo contains both silicones and sulphates, which can lead to overstretching the hair. One reviewer said, “This is a shampoo that contains both silicone and sulphate. Sulphates are very common in shampoo as they act as the detergent to strip out the grease and dirt—and your natural protective oils, too, unfortunately. “

If you’re looking for a more affordable shampoo, Mirror’s shopping writer Meghan swears by HASK’s Argan Oil Repairing Shampoo and Conditioner, £13.99 for the set. Meghan says: “After washing my hair with this shampoo the first week, I could feel the difference in my curls. The shampoo aims to gently cleanse damaged, overworked, stressed hair while effectively repairing breakage and smoothing split ends for a rejuvenated and nourished appearance and feel.”
