Presley Gerber, Son of Cindy Crawford, Dies at 27

Date:

Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, passed away on Sunday, as confirmed by a family spokesperson. The Santa Monica Police Department is currently looking into Gerber’s death, considering it a potential overdose. The investigation revealed no signs of foul play at this stage. The official cause and circumstances of his death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.

Gerber, known for his work as a model and mental health advocate, died at a rehab facility in Los Angeles, according to the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s online records. An examination was conducted by the medical examiner’s office on Monday, and the cause and manner of death have been deferred pending further testing and studies to establish a conclusive determination. The process for deferred cases may take several months before a definitive cause of death is identified.

The investigation into Gerber’s death is ongoing, with limited information currently available, as confirmed by the medical examiner’s office. The statement verified that paramedics pronounced Gerber’s death at 9:45 a.m. on September 20, and the Santa Monica Police Department is leading the investigation into the matter. No specifics regarding the cause of death have been disclosed thus far.

Allie Jenkins, a representative for Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, officially confirmed Gerber’s passing, requesting privacy for the family during this challenging time. Presley was the older sibling of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

Known for his fashion work in campaigns and runway shows for prominent brands like Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana, Gerber had shared openly about his mental health battles and substance use struggles. In his efforts to promote awareness, he initiated “Mental Health Mondays” on Instagram, aiming to foster candid discussions on topics often concealed by most individuals.

In a now-deleted Instagram video from December 2025, Gerber discussed his experience with panic attacks and his use of medications such as buprenorphine, Xanax, and Valium. His sister Kaia Gerber addressed his challenges in an interview with Vogue magazine in August, emphasizing the impact such events have within a family.
