150 corgis gathered in Vilnius for a special international race celebrating the beloved small herding dogs from Wales. The event featured a costume parade, a “smartest nose” challenge, and a competition for the loudest bark. Organizers of the fifth Corgi Race Vilnius deemed it the largest edition to date, with participants from nine countries, including the United States, the UK, and various European nations.

The main running event saw 94 dogs competing in qualifiers, semifinals, and the final race over 25 meters. The victor, GG (Gustave the Girl Dog), hailed from the U.S., with Mr. Corgington coming in a close second and Lithuania’s Moka securing third place. Beyond speed, the competition showcased the talents of both the corgis and their owners.

The festivities included a costume parade with corgis donning various outfits, a “smartest nose” challenge where dogs sniffed out hidden treats, and a contest for the loudest bark. Mr. Corgington claimed victory in the bark-off, showcasing his extensive training. The event was a mix of fun and skill, with participants from different countries adding to the lively atmosphere.
