Growing up in Delta, B.C., one of my cherished childhood memories revolves around our family dinners. Seated cross-legged on a small beige mat, we basked in the warm amber glow of the setting sun. This tradition was passed down from my father’s upbringing in Lahore to our suburban Delta home.
