Despite the unsettling experience, Persad, aged 52, is keen to return home to be with his family for his wife Holly’s upcoming 50th birthday and fulfill his presenting commitments at the renowned Cheltenham Festival next week. Stranded in Dubai following flight cancellations, Persad hopes to secure a return to the UK soon. He had traveled to Dubai to cover the Super Saturday event at Meydan racecourse for Racing TV and was unaware of the escalating situation until fellow presenter Megan Nicholls informed him.
