“Starmer Slams Farage’s Party for Accepting Scandal-Plagued Tories”

Date:

Keir Starmer criticized Nigel Farage’s party for accepting former Conservative politicians who have faced scandals in their latest move.

During a heated session of PMQs, the Prime Minister joked about Conservative members switching to Reform, specifically mentioning Kemi Badenoch and the recent defection of ex-Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi over tax issues.

Starmer highlighted Reform’s mayoral candidate’s disdain for London, the new Tory member’s tax payment troubles, and the leader’s alleged lack of presence in his constituency.

Taking a light-hearted jab at Reform, the Prime Minister mentioned visiting IKEA and joked about a fictional IKEA shadow cabinet made of subpar materials, losing parts to Reform.

He also mocked Farage’s group for being a “laundry service of disgraced Tory politicians,” insinuating Zahawi’s departure was due to advice given by Badenoch, who was rumored to be seeking guidance to revitalize her party.

Badenoch responded defiantly to the Prime Minister’s comments, asserting her confidence. Farage, in turn, criticized Reform’s mayoral candidate, highlighting criticisms of the party’s leadership and new members’ financial issues.
