Real Housewives producer lets rip at show bosses for ‘firing him over OnlyFans account’

Published:

One of the cast members who worked on Real Housewives has taken aim at Bravo bosses, claiming he was fired for having an OnlyFans account.

Patrick McDonald, a former producer on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and The Real Housewives of Orange County, has alleged that the network “iced him out” over the past year due to his involvement in adult content.

According to RadarOnline.com, Patrick wrote on Substack: “I’m not an idiot. I knew there was a risk. But it’s 2025 – Housewives cast members have fan sites, so why is it different for someone behind the scenes?”

He claims he suddenly stopped hearing from production teams in Beverly Hills and Orange County, which led to him not being involved in the programme.

Before his time at Bravo Patrick was a producer for Shuter’s VH1 morning show The Gossip Table and also worked as a supervising producer on Vanderpump Rules. In August 2024 he ventured into the adult content industry with his boyfriend, Logan Stevens.

Patrick has defended his side hustle, saying: “Sex work is real, legitimate work, and it has been since the dawn of humanity. I’m proud of what I’ve done at Bravo – and just as proud of the work I’m doing now.”

He also criticised the network’s stance on his new job, pointing out the hypocrisy of allowing Housewives stars such as Larsa Pippen and Denise Richards to run OnlyFans accounts while penalising a producer behind the scenes.

After sharing his story on TikTok, Patrick received a big wave of support from fans. One commenter wrote, “Patrick! You deserve your flowers,” while another added, “Here for those who stand up and educate and advocate.”

Others praised him for prioritising his own needs in life, with one saying, “Life is not a dress rehearsal. Excited to hear you’re pursuing what makes you blissfully happy!”

Besides the OnlyFans experience, Patrick has also called Bravo out for having what he describes as a “toxic work culture”. He accused the network of overworking crew members and allowing “egomaniacal showrunners” to create a stressful environment.

His claims have only added to a growing list of allegations against Bravo for their workplace conditions. Earlier this year, Real Housewives of New York City alum Leah McSweeney filed a civil lawsuit against Andy Cohen and Bravo, hitting out at their “rotten” work environment.

RHONY’s Eboni K. Williams has also spoken out about experiencing racism on set, particularly from her co-star Ramona Singer.

As Patrick starts a new chapter of his working life away from the world of reality TV, he has emphasised his dedication to standing up for his own beliefs. He told followers: “I’ve given years of my life to this industry, and I have no regrets. But no one should have to choose between doing what they love and being true to themselves.”
