Jamie Lee Arrow’s teenage rebellion was overshadowed by a disturbing family history. When she was just nine years old, she discovered that her father had brutally murdered and cannibalized his girlfriend.
Isakin Drabbad, Jamie’s father, had separated from her mother when Jamie was very young. Despite the separation, Jamie maintained contact with her father and grew close to his new partner, Helle Christensen, who played a maternal role in her life.
However, the relationship between Helle and Isakin was fraught with toxicity and violence. Jamie witnessed unsettling arguments between them as a child. On one occasion, Helle chillingly told Jamie while serving her a meal: “Enjoy your meal… this is the last time I’ll ever cook for you, because Isakin is going to kill me.”
Tragically, Helle’s ominous prediction came true. In November 2010, Drabbad, who identified as a Satanist, viciously murdered Helle by slashing her throat, beheading her, and consuming parts of her body.
In a recent interview with LadBible, Jamie shared how her mother tried to shield her from the gruesome reality of her father’s actions, leading to a significant upheaval in her life. She recounted being isolated from the outside world, forbidden from usual activities, and kept away from public view.
During Drabbad’s trial, his horrifying acts captivated public attention. Reports detailed how he mutilated Helle’s body using various tools and even planned to consume parts of her remains.
Despite his incarceration in a secure mental facility, Drabbad continued to draw attention. He formed a relationship with another patient known as the “Vampire killer” and operated a blog where he discussed his crimes and expressed disdain for humanity.
Jamie, deeply affected by her father’s influence and the subsequent bullying she faced, struggled with addiction and dropped out of school at a young age. Her efforts to connect with her father were met with a threatening message, prompting her to seek closure and focus on protecting her own children from similar traumas.
Now, Jamie’s primary concern is shielding her children from the darkness of her past experiences, aiming to provide them with a safe and nurturing environment.
