Virgin Media customers in the UK are in for a valuable upgrade at no extra cost. The internet service provider has introduced a new service named Smart Support, which is now being rolled out nationwide. This update offers round-the-clock support to ensure seamless operation throughout the year.
Smart Support automatically monitors broadband coverage and promptly assists customers facing speed or connectivity issues. Users receive immediate recommendations to resolve any detected problems, aiming to prevent interruptions that can disrupt online activities like streaming or remote work.
Additionally, Virgin can remotely perform fixes overnight to avoid daytime disturbances, such as applying updates or repairs while customers are asleep. The service can also assess if a WiFi Pod or Hub upgrade is necessary for improved whole-home coverage and offer engineer bookings at no additional charge for more serious issues.
Gareth Lister, Director of Connectivity at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the importance of fast and reliable connectivity. He highlighted that Smart Support, coupled with ultrafast speeds and top-notch reliability, ensures customers remain connected, especially during critical times. Virgin Media has confirmed that Smart Support will be provided to all customers as a standard offering, without any extra fees.
