Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale in 600 pubs, offering a pint of beer for as low as 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine for £2.99 per 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) for £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) also for £1.99.
In addition to alcoholic beverages, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free options are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin for £1.69 each. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are on sale for 99p each.
Food discounts are also part of the sale, featuring an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 including a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage.
Furthermore, customers can enjoy a selection of six jacket potatoes with various fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables for £4.99 with a soft drink or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink. Additional fillings or a side salad can be added for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are available at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink.
Unique loaded jacket potato options include the cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream topped spud, the vegetarian Mexican spud with chilli bean non-carne, cheese, guacamole, and more, and the smoky potato loaded with pulled BBQ beef brisket, cheese, chipotle mayo, and sliced chillies.
Wetherspoon founder and chairman Tim Martin expressed his excitement about the January Sale, highlighting the variety of drinks and food on offer to cater to diverse preferences, including a wide selection of low and non-alcoholic beverages. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, starting on January 3 in Scotland, and will run until January 15, with prices varying at the company’s other 200 locations.
