“Sky Sports Unveils F1 Enhancements and Ultimate TV Subscription”

Date:

Sky Sports subscribers are in for a treat as the F1 season kicks off with George Russell claiming victory in Melbourne. Throughout 2026, fans can expect an exciting journey across the globe with a promise of enhanced viewing experiences. Sky has unveiled a significant TV upgrade tailored to amplify the way sports enthusiasts engage with live events.

The upcoming update will usher in a fresh interactive dimension, featuring a smart sidebar that will emerge during race weekends. This sidebar will offer viewers access to Race Control and Recap, facilitating quick replays of thrilling overtakes and pivotal moments. Additionally, viewers can easily track live in-race standings through this new feature.

In addition to heightened interactivity during races, the update brings specialized driver and team pages to the forefront. This innovation grants fans access to onboard cameras, enriched race data, informational guides, and improved navigation on the homepage.

Curious about how to access these enhancements? The good news is that these new features will be provided at no extra cost to Sky Sports subscribers utilizing Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q devices.

Although Sky has yet to announce the exact launch date, the upgrade is anticipated to roll out later in the season, guaranteeing existing Sky Sports subscribers a seamless transition to these fresh features.

In a statement shared with Express.co.uk, Sky highlighted the introduction of an immersive sidebar for TV viewing during race weekends as part of the 2026 enhancements, offering fans greater flexibility and choice.

Not stopping at the F1 upgrade, Sky has also unveiled an Ultimate TV subscription plan consolidating various prominent streaming services at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at £24 per month, this package will grant both new and existing customers access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app, set to debut in the UK next month.

Sky emphasizes the value proposition of the bundle, amalgamating approximately £20 worth of streaming services under one roof. The Ultimate TV plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (starting March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26), Hayu (available from July, with selected shows accessible from March), and over 130 Sky channels.
