The Swiss ski resort fire tragedy has claimed around 40 lives, with many still missing. The fire, which started at Le Constellation bar due to sparklers on champagne bottles, led to over 100 injuries. Authorities in Valais, where the resort is located, have identified four new victims – two Swiss women aged 21 and 16, and two Swiss men aged 18 and 16. The total confirmed death toll stands at 24, but it is feared that the actual number may be higher.
Among the victims was Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old from Italy, who was the first to be identified. He was a talented athlete staying in the resort with his family for New Year’s. Additionally, other victims, including teenagers, have been confirmed dead.
